Pet Photography

Somewhere between fine art, documentary, sports and portrait photography lives the pet photographer

With a treat and squeaker always at the ready, we wait patiently for the shot: the sit, the paw, the tilt, the fetch, the tongue, the drool, the shake, the belly and the sleep. We live in “play clothes”, with poo bags and lens caps in our back pockets. Our cameras have freeze-dried liver smooshed into the grips. We have mastered a high-pitch baby-voice that could shame any beauty pageant stage mother in the universe.

I will give you a pre-shoot consultation. This brief appointment often happens in your home. It is an opportunity for you {and most importantly your pet}, to get to know me, the photographer and vice versa. Also this is a helpful time to discuss what types of images you would like to create and how you hope to incorporate these photos into your home decor. The shoot itself will last one-and-a-half to two hours, and take place at your home or a location of your choosing. It is recommended that the location is somewhere that your dog will be active and animated, or lazy and comfortable, depending on the look and feel of photographs you desire. Approximately two weeks later, you will be invited to review your images with me and discuss albums, print and canvas collections, digital negatives and any other keepsakes. Most products take two to four weeks to design. In some cases these items can be shipped to your door.

Prices start at £150 for a photoshoot.
